Background:
Born in Baltimore city, moved to Northern Baltimore County at an early age and have been there ever since, living in the Hereford Zone! Grew up with dogs my whole life, worked in kennels since the age of 15 as well as veterinary hospitals as a technician. Love working with dogs and being with them at all times! They brighten my day always! Had been waiting for a chance to work in a position like this and am delighted to be here at SoBo!
If I were a dog I would be a Mastiff because I love their look, all around attitude, and their size!
The best thing about SoBo is the loving environment that we provide our dogs. They always have the best time here and I love being able to see all kinds of dogs all day, every day! Bringing my dog to work is a nice perk to the job as well!!

Background: I was born and raised with dogs, growing up with them as my best friends and constant companions through thick and thin. From a young age, my mother and I would bring home pups and dogs (from the streets or from previous owners) and foster them till we could find loving homes for them. I’ve also been involved in all types of obedience training since a young age. All of this has exposed me to a wide variety of dogs (as well as animals in general) and I’m so glad I picked SoBo Doggy Daycare as my first job!
If I were a dog, I’d be: An old dog. The kind that you can tell has lived a good, full life, and just enjoys being a senior; surrounded by the comfort of her family.
Best thing about SoBo?: The dogs, of course! Even on your worst day, you can’t help but smile and feel better when greeted with all those happy faces and wiggling butts. Working here, you get to know each dog individually; their likes, dislikes, their favorite toys and games, as well as their best buddies. It’s like anextension of my own family. I can’t help but love all our fur pals that come to visit.

Background:
Hi! My name is Sandy and I’m the person that takes care of the dogs that sleepover. I also work the daycare at times, which I thoroughly enjoy. In the evenings its fun and games to tucker them out for the night. I also give them all the love and reassurance they need to feel safe and comfortable while they are here. Because I live practically across the street from SoBo I can come and check on the dogs at any time. No extra charge here for cuddle time, its my pleasure!
I’ve had dogs my whole life. The past 20+ years I’ve done rescue and foster. I’ve competed in the show ring and also bred and sold dogs, but my true passion has been training. I’ve given demonstrations at various festivals and events, Timonium Pet Expo and Cal Ripkin Stadium and many others. I currently have a 3 year old Bull Mastiff in Basic and Advanced obedience on and off leash, hand signal training, and he also does tricks and is trained as a service dog.
If I were a dog I would be some type of service dog. Why? They get to be with their person all the time, they travel and socialize, get to experience things that most dogs don’t. They are loved and appreciated and welcomed everywhere!
The best thing about SoBo is being with the dogs. But a close second would be working for and with people that care about these dogs as much as I do. These dogs are our number one priority and I’m proud to say I work at SoBo!

Background:
Born in Baltimore, moved to California (Bay area) at eleven and moved back to Baltimore at nineteen. Went to a Baking school for a short time. I enjoy music and creative writing.
If I were a dog I would be a German Shepherd. Not just because of personal preference, but because they are some of the smartest and loyal breeds that are out there.
The best thing about working at SoBo is the positive environment and the fact that the dogs get a chance to do what they really want to do (play) ALL day!!
Krystl D.
Background: I grew up around dogs and have always dreamed of working with them one day! I am born and raised in Baltimore, currently living in Essex. I have always had a passion to work with animals and growing up, it was never a surprise to my mother when I would bring home a stray dog.
If I were a dog I would be a Great Dane! I admire their beauty and strength, not to mention they are my favorite breed. They are giant lovable babies!
The best thing about SoBo is that I look forward to coming to work because there is never a dull moment when you are around so many dogs at one time! Even during your worst day, the cute faces, cold noses, and wagging/wiggly butts put a smile right back on your face!
Ben C.
Background: I grew up in Baltimore, and aside from the time I spent at the University of Maryland, I have lived here most of my life. I play bass guitar in a band, but in my spare time I love biking, reading, and playing with animals. I just moved to the federal hill area and love being in the heart of the city and just a short bike ride to work here at SoBo!
If I were a dog I would be a Golden Retriever. My favorite dog, Buck, and I used to play all day! I would love to be able to romp around all day and then snuggle up at night. Golden Retrievers are very friendly and playful, as am I!
The best thing about SoBo is the dogs! I get to meet new ones every day and see all the wonderful returning dogs faces happy to see me!

Background: I am fairly new to working with animals. Although I do enjoy being around and working with them immensely. This is the first job I’ve had dealing with animals one on one but I’m learning fast and I can’t wait to meet your best friend! I hope to see them at work! I’ve owned dogs but never worked with them as a job before.
If I were a dog I would be a Labrador. This is because they are full of energy and very lovable.
The best thing about SoBo is all the time I get to spend with the animals. Also it’s a great place for dogs to learn and interact with other pups.
Rachel T.
Background: I am currently in college pursuing my Veterinary Medicine Degree. Animals are my true passion and to work with them every day brings joy to my life. I have to Pits at home, Pebbles and Bam-Bam, who I love very much and my life would be so different and boring without them!
If I were a dog I would be a pit bull. They are so misunderstood. I would want to change peoples perception.
The best thing about SoBo is all the dogs of course! They all have different personalities and dispositions and I love them All!!
